Growing up between the shores of South Florida and Provincetown, art & design has been the primary focus of my life. Following the path of illustration and drawing has led me through schooling at both SCAD in Savannah and MASSART in Boston. I have worked mostly on paper, fabric, & wood, generating small to large scale installations.

Creating collage lampshades is a culmination of many curiosities and practices over a lifetime of making art. Also being obsessed with the endless possibilities of paper. Paper is the medium I have a profound love for that makes ink, marker, paint, pen and print come to life. Inspired as a lover of nature and my history as a queer person, each up-cycled shade is given an embrace of colorful images, carefully chosen, and often reflecting on memory and dreams. The illumination of double exposures capture hidden imagery through pockets of color and light. Each shade is a unique and one-of-a kind couture creation and I pair them with a found, often vintage, lamp base.

I also love to dance, listen to music, take walks in nature with my dog Ziggy, and eat yummy vegetarian meals with my wife Jess. Spending time in the studio is the equivalent of conjuring magic to me. I am grateful everyday for the hands I have to build these, and the heart and eyes to see the world in them reflecting back at me.

I currently have a studio as an artist-in-residence at The Provincetown Commons.
