Growing up between the shores of South Florida and Provincetown, art & design has been the primary focus of my life. Following the path of drawing and painting, it guided me through undergrad Illustration at SCAD in Savannah, and a painting BFA at MASSART in Boston. I have worked mostly on paper, but also love fabric & wood, generating small to large scale installations and one-person shows. I participate in many group exhibitions here on the Lower Cape and Provincetown.

Creating collage lampshades is a culmination of many curiosities and practices over a lifetime of making art. Also being obsessed with the endless possibilities of paper. I have always had a profound love for paper and how it makes ink, marker, paint, pen and print come to life! Inspired as a lover of nature and history as a queer person, each up-cycled shade is given an embrace of colorful images, carefully chosen, and often reflecting on memory or dreams. The illumination of imagery can uncover double exposures or capture something hidden through pockets of color and light. It’ s become my way of using light to expose the veil of interdimensionality, akin to revealing a secret. Each shade is unique and a stand alone couture creation. I pair them with an often vintage lamp base that I also refurbish and rewire.

I love dancing, music, taking walks in nature with my dog Ziggy, and eating yummy vegetarian meals with my wife Jess. Spending time in the studio is the equivalent of conjuring magic, to me. I am grateful everyday for the hands I have to build these, and the heart and eyes to see the world in them reflecting back at me.
